Garden

A garden is a space used for the display, cultivation, and enjoyment of plants. A garden may be in a variety of outdoor and indoor environments including the backyards of domestic residences, public buildings, and commercial spaces.

A garden may contain:

• a vegetable garden: a section of the garden intended for growing vegetables
• additional crops including fruits and grains
• a flower garden: a section of the garden intended for ornamental plants, often carrying esthetic flowers
• a lawn (not always present though, ie in the case of rock gardens
• micro-orchard: fruit trees that are often espaliered
• hedges and green façades and walls
• compost pile
• Cold frame
• Greenhouses
• Polytunnel
